北京2008年奧運會運動員村今日開村

　　The world's best athletes will begin to move into Beijing's Olympic Village starting on Sunday, July 27, embarking on their stay in safe, comfortable, warm accommodations while in the Chinese capital.

　　The Olympic Village in Beijing will be home to 16,000 athletes and representatives from over 200 countries and regions around the world.

　　At 9:20 on Sunday morning, a fantasic opening ceremony was held in the flag raising plaza of the Village, after which the Chinese Olympic delegation proudly stepped across the threshold, becoming the first athletic group to enter Beijing's Olympic Village.

　　27日，2008年北京奧運會奧運村正式開村，來自200余個國家和地區的16000名運動員和隨隊官員將陸續入住。在接下來一個月的時間里，這里將成為奧運選手們在北京的安全、舒適、溫馨的家園，成為全世界文化交流、融合的小小的“地球村”。

　　當天上午，奧運村在升旗廣場舉行了盛大的開村儀式與歡迎儀式，中共中央政治局委員、北京市委書記、北京奧組委主席劉淇向全國人大常委會副委員長、北京奧組委副主席、北京奧運村村長陳至立移交了奧運村鑰匙。

　　陳至立在開村儀式上致辭。她說，奧運村已經做好了一切準備，展開雙臂，熱烈歡迎來自世界各個國家和地區的運動員、代表團官員和媒體記者，我們尊貴的客人前來入住。
