  Athletics now. And on Tuesday, sprinter Ben Johnson returned to the scene of the notorious 1988 Olympic 100-metre final in Seoul. It was 25 years to the day since the Canadian finished first, only to be disqualified after testing positive for steroids. Johnson was back in South Korea as part of his anti-doping advocacy campaign. The contest has since earned the tag of The Dirtiest Race in History with only two of the eight runners untainted by questions of drug use. One of those, Calvin Smith finished fourth, but later received a bronze medal. He says he wasnt surprised when Johnson was caught.

  It was no surprise, and I dont think that in the track and field world of athletes that were running at the time, it was no surprise to anyone. Its just a matter of when. Its all about money.
