  On August 8, the worlds greatest athletes will enter Beijings National Stadium to open the Olympics. The athletes will walk in as national teams, proudly waving their countries flags. Sixteen days later, the athletes will enter the stadium again to end the games. But this time they will enter as a mixed group of athletes. This Olympic tradition has been practiced since 1956. It showed us that while people come to the Olympics divided,they leave united.

  The Olympics have always try to promote Olympic values like good sportsmanship and fair play. These values inspire us to be better pepople. They are also one of the reasons the Olympics are so popular.

  The Olympics have also produced athletes that inspire us. Their actions remind us of the Olympic creed:The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not to win but to take part, just as the most important thing in life is not the triumph, but the struggle...
