　　The negative words neanche, nemmeno, and neppure are used to replace anche (too, also, as well) in negative sentences. Please note that these three words can be used interchangeably, as in the following examples:

　　Non ha preso neanche il dolce. (He didn't even take the dessert.)

　　Nemmeno io ho visto nessuno. (I didn't see anyone either.)

　　Non leggiamo neppure i fumetti. (We don't even read the comic strips.)

　　Neanche loro lo so. (They don't know it either.)
