軟木（英文專業表述：cork；phellem），俗稱木栓、栓皮。植物木栓層非常發達的樹種的外皮產物，莖和根加粗生長后的表面保護組織。古代埃及、希臘和羅馬用來制造漁網浮漂、鞋墊、瓶塞等。中國春秋時代已有軟木的記載。生產軟木的主要樹種有木栓櫟、栓皮櫟。通常20年生或以上、胸徑大于20厘米的植株即可進行第一次采剝，所得的皮稱頭道皮或初生皮。以后每隔10～20年再采剝，所得的皮稱再生皮，皮厚在2厘米以上。
