2013年度神曲《狐貍叫》(The Fox)繼上線短短30天YouTube訪問量就突破一億人次，大破鳥叔《江南Style》去年創下的記錄之后;上周又在美國公告牌(Billboard)力壓Lady Gaga和Eminem的新歌，一舉躥升至第六位，一時間風頭無兩。據統計，《狐貍叫》上周還同時在挪威、芬蘭、瑞士、韓國等十國的iTunes單曲榜上奪冠，堪稱環球同唱一曲《狐貍叫》。

在前不久接受MTV臺采訪時，歌曲原唱Ylvis兄弟還戲稱：“我們剛寫完《狐貍叫》時就在想，它一定要打敗Lady Gaga。”這雖然是一句玩笑，但仍然可以看出Ylvis對自己“神曲”的信心。

亞馬遜、eBay上的商家們也紛紛表示，今年萬圣節前的狐貍服裝銷量比往年增加了一倍還不止，不少店鋪的促銷廣告語也隨之改為：“想要在今年的萬圣節奪人眼球，打扮成狐貍就對了!”不僅如此，好萊塢影帝：摩根·弗里曼，在上周末的一檔電視節目里為了宣傳自己的新片，也不能免俗地在觀眾面前大聲朗讀《狐貍叫》的呆萌歌詞：“小狗汪汪叫、小貓喵喵叫、小鳥吱吱叫、老鼠嘰嘰叫……狐貍怎么叫，鈴-叮-叮-叮-叮格鈴叮……”。
《狐貍叫》僅在YouTube一家網站的官方視頻訪問量，即超過了一億六千萬次。可以預見，在今年的各大頒獎禮和公司年會上，必將是《狐貍叫》引領風潮的盛況。
